Russia says it is ready to consider helping Venezuela launch a nuclear energy programme.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin made the remarks in Moscow following talks with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Putin also expressed Russia's willingness to cooperate with Venezuela in military and technical matters.
