The chairman of the US Senate Banking Committee says House of Representatives and Senate negotiators have reached an agreement in principle on a bill to bail out America's financial system. Following a meeting with top House and Senate lawmakers, Senator Christopher Dodd of the Democrats told reporters in Washington that he thought congress could pass the bill within the next few days. Dodd did not provide any details on the major areas of contention that have been under negotiation.
