British carrier British Airways has announced it is temporarily suspending flights to and from Pakistan after Saturday's deadly blast on the Marriot Hotel in Islamabad.
They said there was no direct security threat to prompt the suspension of the six weekly flights to Islamabad. Meanwhile, Pakistani investigators are targeting an al-Qaeda cell based in Islamabad that they believe was behind the attack that killed at least 53 people and injured 270 more. A truck loaded with 600 kilograms of explosives was detonated outside the hotel.
