Nigeria's main militant group has declared a unilateral cease-fire in the southern oil region.
The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta says it's ceasing hostilities immediately after appeals from elders and politicians in the region, ending the latest series of raids that have nearly halved Nigeria's daily oil production.
