06.09.2008 - Katerina Jacques elected deputy chairwoman of Czech Greens
Tichy, head of the Greens' party branch in Olomouc, North Bohemia, received the votes from 90 delegates.Tichy is a supporter of Dana Kuchtova, the main rival of Martin Bursik who defeated her in the contest for the post of party leader earlier today.Jacques is a firm ally of Bursik.Jacques promised to the delegates before the vote was taken that she would support the Greens' cause with great determination.She mentioned her personal partnership with Bursik, but stressed that she had established her position even before it appeared.
