Tropical Storm Hanna has made its way across the south-eastern US battering the coast with waves, rain and wind reaching 110 km per hour.
Hanna made landfall on the North and South Carolina coastline after leaving hundreds dead in the Caribbean island of Haiti. Unconfirmed reports put the death toll at over 500 with flooding and landslides leaving as many as 200,000 with little or no food or water.
