The first guitar burned on stage by Jimi Hendrix is to go on sale at an auction of rock memorabilia in London.
It is thought the instrument could sell for as much as Ј500,000.
It is the star item in the sale, which also includes such rarities as the Beatles' first contract, which was signed in 1962.

The legendary guitarist and singer later became famous for this gimmick.
The guitar apparently ended up with a business associate, and was recovered from a garage only last year, still bearing the scorch marks of Hendrix's performance.
Also up for sale are what are claimed to be the only remaining fingerprints of Elvis Presley, on a gun permit.
The items are being sold at The Fame Bureau's It's More Than Rock and Roll memorabilia auction.
BBC business correspondent Martin Shankleman said rock 'n' roll memorabilia had proved to be a booming business in recent years.
