German prosecutors have formally charged three men in connection with an alleged terrorist plot.
The Federal Prosecutor's Office said the two German converts to Islam and one Turkish man were charged with membership in a terrorist organisation, the Islamic Jihad Union. All three have been in custody since police arrested them in a rural area of western Germany one year ago on suspicion of plotting to bomb targets that are frequented by US citizens.
