In the German city of Aachen an international peace prize has been awarded jointly to the Israeli human rights group Machsom Watch and the Palestinian Lutheran priest Mitri Raheb.
Machsom Watch comprises 400 women who observe and document how Israeli troops treat Palestinians at checkpoints. Mitri Raheb has been priest at Bethlehem's Lutheran Church of Nativity for 20 years.
