PREMIER LEAGUE TRANSFER TRACKER:
In: Tottenham (Pavlyuchenko, Corluka)
Out: Man City (Corluka)

1102: Robinho has been spotted everywhere within a one mile radius of Stamford Bridge if you believe all the texts and 606s flooding in. However, in terms of official word it is all very quite so far. Rest assured, we are keeping across this one.
1059: "I'm sitting at work in deepest darkest Buckinghamshire and haven't seen anyone doing anything - including any work!"
Kos via text on 81111
1047: Corluka has signed a six-year deal at Tottenham, who have paid Ј8.5m for his services.

1045: "My mate owns a burger van outside Old Trafford and he's just had to remind Dean Windass and his agent that he's not open till 11. You heard it here first!"
Shaun via text on 81111
Cheeky. Very, very cheeky. Funny though.
1040: Rumours continue to fly around that Spurs could still sign Argentine striker Daniel Milito from Real Zaragoza. If I hear anything more, I'll let you know.
1037: Glad you spotted the, ahem, deliberate transfer widow mistake. I imagine that there are plenty of women out there who do feel like transfer widows on this particular day. I cannot imagine too many managers are out and about with the wife today.
1033: Expect Paul Gallagher's emergency loan move from Blackburn to Plymouth to be made a season-long loan at some point today.
1030: (See 1017) "If Robinho is wearing eight at Chelsea, what happens to Frank Lampard? SWP used to wear 24 not eight. At least make up things properly!"
Tom, Billericay, via text on 81111
Excellent point. You lot need to be well researched and diligent in your fabrications if you are to successfully pull the wool over the eyes of your fellow readers.
1024: An update from the Humber as Hull City look to boost their squad before the window shuts.
Apparently the Tigers are still waiting on Frazier Campbell. A deal has been agreed with Man Utd but it all hinges on Berbatov moving to Old Trafford. But that may well happen given that Tottenham have signed Pavlyuchenko. It gets complicated doesn't it.
The club also has a bid in for Fulham striker Seol Ki-Hyeon - this has been confirmed by Hull Chairman Paul Duffen.
BBC Radio Humberside also understand the club are interested in Rangers striker Daniel Cousin but there has been no official confirmation.
1021: Not strictly related to the transfer of players, but there are strong reports suggesting that there has been a takeover at Man City, with the Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment splashing the cash. No more Shinawatra, it seems.
1017: "I work in the shirt sales at Stamford Bridge. I was told this morning to prepare Robinho shirts with number eight. Shaun Wright-Phillips had the old one."
Steve, via text on 81111
1011: Transfer deadline day - lots of excitement, rumour and speculation. But what impact does the transfer window have on the lower divisions, where money is tight and squads are small? In a shameless piece of self promotion, feel free to read the blog I wrote about it.
Transfer window not working
1009: "My mate Phil is a Cabbie in Liverpool City Centre and a season ticket holder at Anfield. He has it on very strong word that Rafa Benitez will sign a cut price Michael Owen as cover for the injured Fernando Torres. Welcome back to the prodigal Son."
Gavin, Ellesmere Port, via text on 81111
I was wondering when a cabbie would crop up. Transfer deadline day literally would not work without them. Literally.
1002: Less than 14 hours to go. You can almost reach out and feel the excitement. Xisco to Newcastle. Texts and 606s reporting that he shares his name with some kind of singer. News to me.
0957: It has been confirmed - Vedran Corluka is a Tottenham player. I reckon Spurs are going to be the club of the transfer deadline - and well done to the man who texted in before informing us that Corluka had thrown his City shirt into the crowd after their win at Sunderland. Always a key sign that one.
0953: BREAKING NEWS
Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Croatia defender Vedran Corluka from Man City.
0950: I have just been scanning through the various texts and 606s that have been flooding in. Lots of cracking airport chat, I have just finished my post round and seen Michael Owen, my mate has just seen Berbatov in Manchester etc However, I have to say there are an incredible amount of people claiming to have spotted Alan Smith in Liverpool, the train of thought being that he is on his way to Everton.
0941: Here is one move that is likely to happen - the amazingly named Ryan Donk will be joining West Brom on loan from AZ Alkmaar.
Donk is a central defender and can I just reiterate that he has an amazing name.
0934: "I love deadline day, it's almost like Christmas, though if I get Albert Riera for Christmas I'd better get a receipt as well so I can take him back in January."

Love it. Liverpool are set to complete their deal for the Espanyol wide man today. I guess all you Reds out there had just better trust that Rafa the Gaffer knows what he is doing. Like bringing on Ngog and not Babel when Torres limps off injured at Villa Park.
0931: One potential move that has caught my eye is full-back Tyrone Mears moving from Derby to Marseille. I have seen Mears play time and again. Lots of ability yet lacking a certain something, perhaps positional sense. Would love to see how he goes on in France.
0926: "Hi Paul, I am currently working in Madrid. Guess who I just saw?! Yes, that's right. Ronaldo! Walking past with a couple of young others, please explain! A s a die hard Man Utd fan my love for him is turning!"
Ed, in the sun, via text on 81111
Lovely touch. A key element of the fabricated transfer deadline day story is to establish credibility. Ed, I feel, has done this quite effectively by pointing that he works in Madrid and thus has genuine reason to be in the Spanish capital. As for the rest of his tale...
0925: "I predict that journalists and fans across the country will be getting bored and edgy abut the lack of action by about 13:00, really quite concerned by 16:30, and then it'll start getting interesting after the majority of us have gone home at about 18:30."

Hmm. This qualifies as an interesting variation on the so and so spotted at such and such a place theme. Talking of which...
"Just seen Kaka on the number 52 bus in Salford, which goes to Old Trafford. Is it more than just a coincidence?"
Anonymous via text on 81111
I have never previously heard mistaken identity, or simply good old fabrication, described as coincidence.
0919: News from Europe - Inter Milan have agreed a deal with Porto for Ricardo Quaresma. Inter boss Jose Mourinho has been a fan of his for some time.
0917: An interesting one from the lower divisions. Rotherham United have signed former Athletic Bilbao forward Omar Garcia on a one-year contract.
The 24-year-old Spaniard has joined the Millers as a free agent, after he impressed during a trial period. Wonder what he'll make of south Yorkshire. Rotherham is south Yorkshire isn't it?
0915: No word yet from Stamford Bridge but one of the potential moves we will be keeping an eye on is whether or not Chelsea manage to sign Robinho from Real Madrid. Today, after all, is the day when all the months of rumour and speculation must come to an end one way or the other.
0910: If you want an early and easily digestible round-up of some of the rumours kicking about in the papers today then check out the gossip column.

0905: "All I'm looking for today is some big money moves and a shock or two. If Tranmere could sign a player or two I'd be delighted."
Josh, Brighton (a Tranmere fan), via text on 81111
I think we would all love it if the men from Prenton Park could boost their squad. And a transfer shock, a move totally out of the blue - we all love those, don't we?
0903: One man not on the move is Rangers striker Alan Gow. He has rejected a Ј250,000 move to Blackpool. No illuminations for him then.
0902: Some rumours hot off the press, or more appropriately fresh out of the mill. Deportivo La Coruna, who beat Real Madrid on Sunday, apparently reckon Newcastle have agreed a Ј5.7m deal for striker Xisco. Know anything about it?
0900: News from our colleagues in Wales. They have it on good authority that Alexei Smertin will be leaving Fulham for Cardiff on a season-long loan subject to securing a work permit. Happy with that?
0858: Now then. I'm expecting a busy old day - though whether most of the deals will start to fall in place later in the day I'm not sure.
The aim is to keep you bang up to date with all the Premier League transfer news but don't think for even a split second that I'll be covering every single transfer from the Football League. My fingers just don't move that fast. However, rest assured that I'll be mentioning as many as possible, while a full list can be found on the BBC website.
0845: One deal that has been done - no question about this one - is Roman Pavlyuchenko's transfer to Tottenham from Spartak Moscow, at a cost of Ј14m. I wonder whether this will free up Dimitar Berbatov for his move to Manchester United?

0830 BST: So here we are once again. Transfer deadline day. One of the most exciting days of the year or one of the most unnecessary? Maybe that is a debate for another time.
The focus today is firmly on who is on the move. Doubtless plenty of top-draw footballers - and plenty of modest ones as well - will be spotted at various airports, hotels, training grounds and other assorted places of business as the rumour mill goes into overdrive. If you do see anyone, be sure to tell us.
