Murray 6-3 2-2 Roitman
Who wrote Roitman off? Oh, it was me. Well, the Argentine is starting to look a bit tasty now. He takes a 15-30 lead - which is as close as he's come to challenging Murray on serve - but an ace gets the Brit out of trouble and he's back on track.
Murray 6-3 1-2 Roitman
Roitman - the world number 107 - seems to be getting into this now. He whips a one-handed down the line to take that game to 30.
Murray 6-3 1-1 Roitman
Murray's first serve percentage is way down at 35% - and most of that has been provided by his five aces. It doesn't matter. His second serve is doing the job just as well. Roitman is yet to get close to a break point.
Murray 6-3 0-1 Roitman
Murray steps it up again as he looks to take control of the set early on - but Roitman proves a bit more sturdy this time, holding from deuce. Nadal takes the first set against Phau on a tiebreak.
FIRST SET
Murray 6-3 Roitman
Roitman successfully challenges a call on a Murray ace - but the Brit responds by sending another one down. Nice. The Argentine tries the same trick on set point, but Hawk-Eye says no and Murray wraps up a very comfortable set.
Murray 5-3 Roitman
I think Murray's trying to do a bit of a Sampras here: secure the break, then cruise. Probably a safe tactic against Roitman.
Murray 5-2 Roitman
Boom. There goes an ace down the 'T' and already Murray seems to be in cruise control. Not such plain sailing for world number one Rafa Nadal - he's 6-5 down in the first set against Bjorn Phau. Cripes.
Murray 4-2 Roitman
Armstrong Stadium isn't exactly packed, Murray and Roitman are rattling around a bit to be honest. The Argentine flings a backhand up the line to move to 40-15 and Murray responds by netting a return.
Murray 4-1 Roitman
Listen Sergio, these mid-court balls are bread and butter for Murray... The sixth seed steps inside the baseline to dispatch another winner and it's another easy game.
2031: "Comfortable start for Murray, not usually the best news because he tends to drop off when comfortably ahead. No excuses today though, has to be three easy sets."

Murray 3-1 Roitman
Sergio's on the board, steeping up the pace on a few forehands to take the initiative.
Murray 3-0 Roitman
A quick scan of Sergio Roitman's endeavours this season tells me he's not a big fan of surfaces that are not red or dusty. The Argentine has won just one ATP match away from clay this year - and that was back in January. He's got nothing to hurt Murray with. The Brit smashes another backhand winner to take that game.
Murray 2-0 Roitman
So far, this is more Cincinnati Murray than Beijing Murray - which is good news if you're a fan of the Brit. A couple of booming backhand winners help him to a 40-15 lead and he breaks at the first opportunity.
Murray 1-0 Roitman
Murray opens with a booming ace out wide and that's a decent start, holding to 15.
2017: Off we go then. Murray to serve.
2016: "Re 2010: A sketchy performance I fancy! Andy in four though."

2014: The Games may be gone, but the glory days for Great Britain continue. Anne Keothavong has just this minute posted her first ever Grand Slam win outside Wimbledon, routing American qualifier Alexa Glatch 6-2 6-2. Lovely.
2010: I know. I miss the Olympics too. But we'll have to make do with the last Grand Slam of the year - and that's not bad is it? Andy Murray faces Sergio Roitman. I say straight sets in an hour and a half. What say you?
