The search for eight mountain climbers on Western Europe's highest peak has been suspended due to poor conditions.
Rescuers flying over an area of Mont Blanc in the Alps were unable to spot any trace of the climbers, after they were caught in an avalanche on Sunday. French police say four Germans, three Swiss and one Austrian are among those missing, presumed dead.
