25.08.2008 - Man bailed over teenager killing

A man held over the murder of an 18-year-old stabbed to death near a bus garage in Walthamstow, east London, has been released on bail.
Police found Charles Junior Hendricks lying wounded near Selborne Road, in the early hours of Sunday.

The 19-year-old man was bailed but a 17-year-old youth arrested on Sunday remains in custody.
Mr Hendricks is the 24th teenager to be killed in a stabbing or a shooting in London this year.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place.

On Sunday, Mr Hendricks' grandmother Weda Campbell paid tribute to her "lovely boy".
"He was a beautiful boy, I'm telling you this from the heart not because he was my grandson, but because he was a very good boy," she said.
Officers said they found the teenager after they saw two or three males running away from the area. He was pronounced dead in hospital.
The 17-year-old and the 19-year-old were arrested near a grassy area off Selborne Road where the killing took place.
The younger of the two had a minor slash wound to the arm and was treated in hospital, police said.
Floral tributes were left for the victim close to where he was found.
The killing led to the cancellation of Walthamstow's celebration of the handover of the Olympics to London.
Clyde Loakes, leader of Waltham Forest Council, said he would call an "urgent meeting" of the leaders and mayors of the five boroughs hosting the 2012 Games to discuss how to tackle knife crime.
