Pakistan has banned the main Taliban militant group behind a wave of suicide attacks in the country.
The interior ministry said the group, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, was an umbrella group for militants along the Afghan border. The outfit has been blamed for most of the attacks which have killed nearly 1,200 people since July last year.
