Global Media Forum in Bonn wraps up second day ... for their role in a US-led coalition airstrike that left nearly 90 civilians dead. Karzai also ordered an investigation into the Afghan and US-led coaltion operation in Herat province on Friday.
Brigadier General Jalandar Shah and a major were relieved of their duties after they together with US forces claimed 30 Taliban militants had been killed in the attacks. In fact, almost 90 civilians, including 50 children died, making it the highest number of civilians killed in a single operation since the fall of the Taliban regime in 2001.
