The death toll from Wednesday's plane crash at Madrid airport has risen to 154, following the death of a badly burnt 31-year-old woman.
Another 18 survivors are still being treated in hospital. Two of the injured are said to be in "very serious" condition. Spanish authorities have so far been able to idenfity just 53 of those killed in the crash. Most of the rest will have to be identified using DNA techniques as they were burned beyond recognition. The Spanair passenger plane crashed on take-off for a flight to the Canary Islands. It is unclear what caused the crash. Authorities have promised a comprehensive investigation into Spain's worst aviation disaster since 1983.
