Security forces say they have killed at least 16 militants in a clash in the country's restive North West Frontier province.
The military said fighting erupted when security forces pulled over a suspicious vehicle and ordered men travelling inside to surrender. The military said the men refused, and tried to fight their way free, triggering an explosion. It added that two suspected suicide bombers were among the group.
