DW boss voices concern about press freedoms ... come from the supreme head of the armed forces. Earlier Russia said it intended to keep 500 troops in a security zone surrounding South Ossetia. Meanwhile in Washington the Pentagon has said it has seen "minimal movements" of Russian forces from Georgia, but no significant withdrawal. Germany has escribed Russia's progress as "very unsatisfactory".
