Russian forces partly occupying Georgia have exchanged prisoners, including wounded, with Georgian authorities.
But there has been no confirmation that Russia has begun the pullback it promised as part of a French-brokered ceasefire. Senior Russian officers say their forces have started withdrawing. Tensions flare on Georgian borders ... wounded Georgians and took away at least one Russian pilot captured during heavy fighting last week. The conflict erupted 11 days ago when Georgian troops tried to retake breakaway South Ossetia from pro-Moscow separatists. Russia, which already had peacekeepers in the region, sent in more troops and armour and drove out Georgian forces.
