Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has arrived in Istanbul to attend a three-day economic cooperation summit of African leaders.

Global Media Forum continues ... Luis Moreno-Ocampo, accused Al-Bashir of directing genocide in Darfur and requested an arrest warrant in July. A panel of judges still has to decide on the issue. However, Turkish authorities are unlikely to arrest al-Bashir even if an arrest warrant should be issued during his stay in Istanbul. Turkey has not signed the international court's treaty and is not bound by its provisions.
