Germany has won two more medals at the Bejing Olympics.
Britta Steffen swam to victory in the 100-metre freestyle final and the track cycling team clinched a bronze in the sprint final. Friday also saw three new world records by US swimmers. However, doping also hit the headlines with North Korea's two-time medallist shooter Kim Jong-su being stripped of his medals for testing positive for a banned substance.
