The International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge has said that he never struck a deal with Beijing organisers to censor Internet sites for foreign reporters.
Rogge was speaking at a press conference in the Chinese capital after IOC's executive committee met there just six days before the Games are to open. The IOC was accused of secretly agreeing with Beijing to allow censorship of several websites by the Chinese authorities. Beijing has since reportedly unblocked a number of sites, including that of some international broadcasters and Amnesty International.
