Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has made his first appearance before a judge at the United Nations War Crimes Tribunal at The Hague.

Bosnian Serb suspect sent to Hague ... Karadzic, who appeared in a black suit, shaved and with a hair cut, said he would represent himself. He also said he would delay entering a plea to charges of crimes against humanity. Karadzic must enter his plea by the next hearing scheduled for August 28. The 63-year old was arrested in Belgrade last week, 13 years after the tribunal first indicted him over the atrocities committed during the Bosnian war of the early 1990s.
