The Italian parliament has unanimously ratified the European Union's Lisbon reform treaty, one week after the Senate gave its approval.
The treaty's future remains in doubt however after Irish voters rejected the document in a referendum last month. The treaty is intended to streamline decision-making within the 27-nation bloc but it cannot become law unless every member state accepts it.
