Following a UN Security Council meeting, US Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad said that Gambari, who is to visit the country next month, must bring back an "agreed road map" for political changes. He added that the US would seek to impose "stronger measures" if Myanmar's military regime, that has ruled the country for more than four decades, continues to refuse to implement democratic reforms.
