Kadrman has received a statement from Ivona Horska, the first state attorney in Prague, saying she did not find any reason to deal with the reasons cited in the complaint. Kadrman said he had been contacted by 12 persons who wanted to sue Schwarzenberg in the days to come. He said he had received 140 e-mail messages supporting him. Opponents of the U.S.
radar base on Czech soil still predominate in the Czech Republic, according to a poll the STEM agency conducted for the Government Office and released today. The poll showed that 44 percent of Czechs are against the radar, 35 percent support the base and the rest do not know. The treaty was signed by Schwarzenberg and his U.S. counterpart Condoleezza Rice on July 8. The treaty is yet to be ratified by Czech parliament where support for it is not sure. The base is to be part of the U.S. anti-missile shield that the United States says will protect its territory and a big part of Europe against missiles that countries like Iran might launch.
